Welcome to The Truck website

The Truck is a unique educational Outside Broadcast and training facility owned and operated by the North Eastern Education & Library Board in Northern Ireland. It was financed jointly by the NEELB and the INTERREG 3A programme three years ago. Originally the Truck was at the heart of a cross border collaborative project based on the trqaining of 360 pupils from Monaghan, Cavan and the NEELB area. This offered pupils industry training in broadcast techniques both in front of and behind the camera. Nowadays, the Truck is an integral part of the production facilities for NEELB.TV, the Board's web based television channel. This channel is available 24/7 at www.neelb.tv and offers a growing number of on demand Continual Professional Development materials for teachers. NEELB.TV also produces a large number of programmes using its single camera crews and its television studio based in Antrim Board Centre. The Truck is used to produce multi camera productions on location and with its satellite facilities, can broadcast to the web or the Sky network live from anywhere in Western Europe.
