| The present project was developed in conjunction with Monaghan Education Centre (MEC). There is currently no project of its kind in Monaghan or the North East region of Northern Ireland and hence the partners would like to pilot it on both sides of the border. |

Background Information
The North Eastern Education and Library Board (NEELB) has developed what it feels is a unique project that can help provide a stimulus for
increased ICT skills, capacity building,
employability and job creation.
The truck is essentially an outside broadcast unit similar to those operated by the local television companies, but it is unique as it will be the first of its kind to be run entirely by school pupils.
The NEELB incumbent staff team is unrivalled in terms of track record, with the staff team qualified and experienced in both education and industry.
The truck’s video facilities are based around a Broadcast Pix vision mixer offering 8 widescreen video inputs. This mixer is fed from 6 Sony Z1 camcorders and 2 Sony PD150’s.
Audio is centred round an Allen and Heath GL4800 audio mixer.
