Cross Border
Digital Creativity

Prior to this project there was nothing of its
kind in Monaghan or the North East region of
Northern Ireland and hence the partners were
keen to pilot it on both sides of the border.
The project was borne from the viewpoint that
the NEELB and for the large part the schools in
its catchment area have little experience of
cross border networking and activity.

The project will meet gaps in supply of students pursuing careers in the areas of creative arts. This has been evidenced through consultation with BBC, UTV, the Universities and the FE Colleges.
The unique dimensions of the project will bring modern technology and practical experience in the form of web design, video conferencing, multimedia, animation, digital camera, the moving image, drama and music productions, audio recording and outside broadcasts. The promoters feel that the project is both additional and complementary in its strategic development and plans for implementation. It affords opportunities to act as a flagship project and model of good practice. This will be measured through the quality monitoring systems in place for both partners
